Using lentils or dry pasta to play with is probably one of the most simple and cheapest sensory activities.
Poured into a tray or tub, provide your child with different sized spoons, jugs and containers and encourage them to dig, scoop, and transfer the lentils or pasta between them. You can also add in a variety of small world play items, such as farm animals, dinosaurs or construction site vehicles to help nurture your child's imagination, act out scenarios from real life and gain an understanding of the world.
